Jay Jay the Jet Plane and his aircraft friends Herky, Tracy and Snuffy take to the skies above Tarrytown to make deliveries, have adventures and have fun. Guided by Brenda Blue, the airport’s ground support and control person, the little planes learn some of life’s important lessons.
One episode contains accidental harm. Tracy wants to make a sonic boom while flying, and goes off to practice. She flies too fast and looses control, crashing into a forest. Tracy is not injured but she is pinned to the ground under a large branch. She can’t move and her radio is broken so she can’t call for help. She is eventually found.
Teaches children that it is important to tell an adult when they are not well and that you should wait for help if you are about to try something new, especially when it might be dangerous.
Do you think it was wise for Tracy to go off on her own like that? What would have happened if she had waited for Savannah?
