Synopsis
Every episode the large, friendly bear who lives in the big blue house, welcomes children inside for a lot of learning and a lot of fun. Included in the cast are a curious bear cub Ojo, a high-strung Lemur Treelo, otter twins Pip and Pop, an enthusiastic mouse called Tutter and an informative shadow who likes to tell stories and put on plays.

Positive aspects
- Bear in the Big Blue House hits on many topics and issues that may be of concern to parents and young children, such as potty training, the birth of a new sibling or starting school. The topics are dealt with in a kind and gentle manner helping the children build new levels of understanding.
- At the end of every episode Bear goes up onto his balcony to go over the days events with his wise friend Luna, the moon. The repetition helps put things in perspective and reinforces the concepts taught.
