Synopsis

Bottle Top Bill and his best friend Corky have all sorts of adventures together as they go about their lives helping everyone who needs assistance, often in very creative ways.

Points to consider

Words of caution

Accidental harm includes:

  • a wild sheep that causes chaos by organizing a sheep stampede, attempting to sabotage a farmer’s mechanical equipment and toppling his neatly stacked crates of apples

  • a tricky troll that takes a fairy’s wings and tramples fields of flowers. Eventually he does give them back and shows how sorry he is.

Positive aspects

  • Demonstrate creative problem solving skills and show many ways of finding creative solutions to various situations

  • Create objects in such a way that children would be able to make the same objects at home

  • Combine everyday objects in interesting ways to create new things.

Questions to ask

  • What was wrong with the wild sheep’s behaviour?

  • How do you think that the farmer felt?

  • What should the wild sheep have done?

  • Do you think that the wild sheep was sorry for what he did?

  • What would be a good consequence to help the sheep learn how his actions affected others?
