Points to consider
Words of caution
Positive aspects
- Encourages memory and musical skills, creativity, counting and numeracy, and pattern recognition.
- Includes a parents’ guide and catchy songs.
- The game is inclusive with children of different nationalities and ability levels represented (eg. one child is in a wheelchair).
Questions to ask
-
Parents could encourage their children to broaden their experience from this game by either making or purchasing activities similar to those presented within the game. For example, instrument making, music, rhythm, and matching projects will further develop their child’s learning potential, as would activities that are mathematical or instruction based.
