Synopsis
Tigger finds himself to be the “onliest” Tigger in the Hundred Acre Wood and can’t find anyone to share his exuberance for bouncing apart from little Roo who’s trying very hard to bounce as high as Tigger. Tigger therefore sets out to find his ‘Tigger family’ and discovers that his real family were there all along.
Points to consider
Words of caution
- There are several incidents of slapstick comedy in which Tigger’s exuberance for bouncing causes him to crash into everyone and creates chaos wherever he goes.
- Pooh and Piglet are chased by a swarm of bees.
- There are also some suspenseful moments but nothing too scary.
Positive aspects
- discovering that your true family are those who care for and love you
- co-operation
- appreciation of individual differences
Questions to ask
- Do you think it would hurt if people knocked each other over in real life like Tigger does?
- What do you think makes a real family? Do you all have to look the same?
