However Margalo betrays Stuart’s friendship and plots with evil Falcon (James Woods) to steal a ring from Stuart’s ‘mother’.

Points to consider

Words of caution

Some scenes might scare younger children and there is some mild, crude humour.

There is also s ome slapstick comedy such as:

  • Stuart is dropped from a tall building but lands safely
  • Snowbell the cat, is jammed into a paint can which is about to topple off a ledge
  • Falcon collides with a propeller driven airplane.

Positive aspects

  • believing in yourself
  • friendship
  • loyalty

Questions to ask

  • Should George have lied to his parents to protect Stuart?
  • What could Margalo have done instead of stealing from Mrs. Little?
