Some younger children might be scared by some of the content in this movie. There is also some mild crude humour.

There is some slapstick comedy such as:

  • Angelica yelling at a bird who poops in her eye
  • Angelica kicking a rock in anger
  • Nigel Thornberry falling off a cliff, getting knocked on the head by a coconut and losing his memory

Positive aspects

  • sibling co-operation

Questions to ask

  • Why is Angelica always so bossy? Is that a good way to behave?
  • How did the parents manage to solve their differences and stop arguing?
