About the movie

Synopsis

Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway) is about to inherit the throne of Genovia but scheming Viscount Mabrey (John Rhys-Davies) has plans for his own nephew to become king. He invokes an old law which requires a princess to be married before she can take the throne. Mia proves she will not be manipulated and chooses her own partner to marry.
