Synopsis
When Max and Jennifer wake up one morning to find their parents sick in bed, they decide to be the ‘grown-ups’ for the day. They discover that while “parents get to do anything they want” they also have a lot of responsibilities to perform. Max and Jennifer decide it’s not too bad being kids after all.
Points to consider
Words of caution
Some slapstick comedy such as:
- the dogs crash into a door
- one of the dogs slides over and lands with a bucket stuck on his head; Max crashes his skateboard.
Gender stereotype roles:
- Max, dressed in a shirt, reads the paper while eating breakfast and then ‘goes to work’ while Jennifer wears a long dress and beads, stays at home and ‘does the shopping’.
