TV - selected programs and reviews

There are two places where you will find quality TV programs for children:

The ABC

The ABC screens many quality programs made specifically for preschool children and for older children in the mornings and after school.

Commercial television

On commercial TV there are quotas of programs:

  • P-one half hour per day for preschool children,
  • C-260 hours per year (five hours per week) for primary school aged children

These programs are classified by the Australian Broadcasting Authority (ABA) as meeting the criteria in their Children's Television Standards.
