All computer games, including video and arcade games, are classified
by the federal Classification Board . If you are concerned about the classification
given to a particular game, you should write to the Board.
Write to the Attorney-General in your State, if you are concerned about
"enforcement" issues, such as:
- access by children to legally restricted games, or
- lack of the appropriate classification information on the cover of
the game,
In some instances, some community groups and particular individuals can
request a review of the classification of a cinema film, or video, by the
Classification Review Board. A request must be lodged within 30 days of
the classification of the film or video by the Classification Board of
the OFLC. This action is provided for under Section 42 of the Classification
(Publications. Films and Computer Games) Act 1995.
