The content of the Internet is not classified.
However, the general principle that applies in Australia, is that what
is illegal offline is illegal on-line. Material such as child pornography,
and some other forms of pornography which would have been refused classification
by the Classification Board will warrant investigation if it occurs on the
Internet.
The The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), has a process for making a complaint to them about
content on the Internet. After investigation, the ABA has the authority to issue take
down notices.
