Australian Council on Children and the Media:
Board of Directors

The ACCM Board contains one representative of each state of Australia and two representatives from its corporate membership. There are ten Board members in all, plus an appointed Secretary and Treasurer.

South Australia Prof Elizabeth Handsley BA, LLB, LLM, Professor of Law, Flinders University, a specialist in media law as it applies to children


Western Australia Jane Roberts Dip Children Studies, B Soc Sc, Principal Policy Officer Department of Premier and Cabinet WA


New South Wales Helen Walton B.Soc.Sci, Dip Ed. Post Grad Diploma in Counselling, representing parent interests across NSW, has background in education and works in the TAFE system
Queensland Marjorie Voss Cert. 111 in Community Services (Children’s Services), Retired Early Childhood teacher, Australian Caritas Leader, Promotion & Development Co-ordinator for Mothers Union Australia


Victoria Prof Ann Sanson BA, PhD, Professor in Paediatrics at the University of Melbourne, a child psychologist with expertise on children’s social and emotional development, including the impact of media, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children


Tasmania Kym Goodes Director of 3P Consulting, working with the government and non-government sector in a range of consultancies; Chair of the Board of Cornerstone Youth Health Services Inc. in Tasmania; Board member of Regional Development Australia (Tasmania).
